​Adaku Ononogbo

“It was my great pleasure and privilege in 2019 to direct Adaku Ononogbo in the featured role of ‘Kaze’, during the production of CURSED, a reimagining of the Arthurian legend for NETFLIX. The role was a demanding one, (the heroine’s powerful bodyguard & intimate confidant). It required a range of physical skills & stagecraft - athleticism, horsemanship, sword-fighting etc - and a nuanced capacity for emotional/psychological communication. Adaku more than generously fulfilled these needs and made the character a memorable and impactful part of the narrative, playing wonderfully within the wide range of the ensemble cast. As an individual she exhibits a high degree of professionalism, being never less than thoroughly prepared, grounded, polite and personable, with a generous attitude to all of her colleagues and a clear understanding of the exigencies of production.
